Lindsey & Josh

The Big Question

Josh planned a weekend getaway to the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York. We had plans to go to wineries, stay in different bed & breakfasts, and explore! Our first stop was NYC because I had never been before and then we drove up to Branchport, NY. It was just a regular day full of exploring wineries (one of our favorite things), but little did I know he planned the perfect proposal months ago!!

He researched the different wineries in that area and picked the winery with the best view of one of the Finger Lakes. Heron Hill Winery was the winner! He called the winery before our trip and coordinated with them the perfect place to propose. After our wine tasting, we had reservations at the winery's cafe that overlooked one of the Finger Lakes, Keuka Lake. He told me that he was going to give our wine taster his camera (who was in on this whole thing the entire time) to take pictures of us in front of the lake. I had no idea what was about to happen! As we were starting to pose for the picture he turned to me and said "You know what would make this picture better? If I was down on one knee." He then continued to tell me why he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to spend forever with him…and of course I said YES--between the many tears! And if I thought it couldn't get any better, the ring box video taped the entire proposal! It was more than I could have ever imagined!

Shop 'Til You Drop

So we went dress shopping "just to look." It was my mom and I with my grandparents at a cute boutique in Charlotteville, VA! The Augusta Jones "Ross" is the first one I put on and I fell in love. After nearly 15 different dresses I put the "Ross" back on and started happy crying and knew it was definitely the one! To top it off, Augusta Jones made me a matching cathedral veil to match the lace of the top of my dress!

The Perfect Day

My wedding day was a fairytale. From beginning to end, it was a true dream. I couldn't imagine a more perfect wedding day for my husband and I. It was corals, greys, and ivory, "rustic chic" is how we like to describe it!

Wise Words

Go dress shopping with an open mind. I got something completely opposite of what I originally thought. Don't check fret the weather on your wedding day; mine was 100% wrong (said it was going to rain and didn't). And enjoy every single second of your wedding day; it flies by. I wish I could replay it over and over again.
